Great Britain’s sea power & maritime skills are unmatched  in the history of the world. The British Empire could not have become the largest empire ever without this naval strength & maritime expertise.

There is no better place to experience to explore & enjoy such a unique naval experience than London’s National Maritime Museum located in Greenwich. In 1997,UNESCO awarded  World Heritage Site status to the Maritime Museum  so  you don’t have to take just our word about this naval attraction.

The buildings & architecture alone of this superb London museum merits a visit.

The Greenwich National Maritime Museum  have  three other exhibition centres. The Museum’s sailing barge Shamrock  is located at the National Trust property Cotehele in  Cornwall. The small boat collection of the National Maritime Museum  is also located in Cornwall.

For those interested in figureheads, you will need to travel to theTropical Gardens of Tresco , which is associated with the National Maritime Museum , which  exhibits some 30 figureheads. Many of  these sailing ship figureheads have been salvaged from wrecked ships that met their doom on the rocks of the Scillies.

This London Naval Museum , dating back to 1707, has the greatest  maritime art collection along with naval instruments &  maps. Bring your youngsters & stimulate them with this magnificent Naval Museum.
