London Eye
The London Eye, London's answer to the Eiffel Tower, is the tallest cantilevered observation wheel in the world . It towers over London some 135 metres high.

The London Eye has 32 capsules, ranged round the wheel, each weighing 10 tonnes. 800 passengers can be carried per revolution which is about the same as 10 of London's red buses.

Each rotation of the Eye takes 30 minutes. This means that passengers can get off & on without the wheel having to stop.

The London Eye , opened in March 2000, is one of the UK's most popular visitor attractions with over 3.5 million people pa .

Breathtaking views from the London Eye's capsules extend 40 kilometres in all directions. Winsor Castle, the Queen's residence can be seen on a clear day from the top of the Eye.
