Haunted London Pubs & London Hotels

Greencoat Boy, Westminster 2 Greencoat Pl, London, SW1P 1PJ Tube:St James Park
This haunted London pub,The Greencoat Boy public house, was built on the site of the old St Margaret’s Hospital next to the Tothill Fields prison dating from the 1600's.The Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena (Ghost seekers Association) used to hold their meetings here in the hope of experiencing the rumoured ghosts!Quite an endorsement of the ghost stories.

The Grenadier Wilton Row, Belgravia, London SW1X 7NR Tube : Hyde Park Corner
Reputed to be the most haunted Pub in London. The Duke of Wellington's Grenadier Guards ( One of the Top Regiment's in the British Army - victors at the Battle of Waterloo when Napoleon was defeated in 1815) used it as their mess. The ghost of a young soldier caught cheating at cards haunts this stunning London pub. Septmenber is the best month for ghostly apparitions.

The Flask Pub 77 Highgate West Hill, Highgate, London N6 6BU Tube : Highgate
The Ghost of a bargirl who commited suicide is the apparition that is said to haunt this superb London Pub which dates back to the 1700s. Look for bullet hole in the wall of the snug bar said to have killed her.Be ready for a sudden drop in temperature which presages the arrival of the ghost. Try not to spill your beer! Afterwards,Visit the famous Highgate Cemetery which is also said to be haunted by ghost of a woman who committed infanticide
The famous artist William Hogarth (1697-1764) was a habitue of this fine London Pub.

Cadogan Hotel, Knightsbridge Tube : Knightsbridge
The Ghost of Lillie Langtry is said to haunt the restaurant of Cadogan Hotel, one of the most famous hotels in London. Lillie Langtry(1853 – 1929), a famous actress of the day , was King Edward VII's mistress.It was also here, in the Cadogan Hotel, that Oscar Wilde was arrested for gross indecency.

The Langham Hilton, 1C Portland Place London, W1N 4JA Tube: Oxford Circus
The Langham is said to be haunted by the apparition a German Prince.This disturbed spirit result from his suicide.The Hotel has hosted numerous celebritities including Mrs Wallis Simpson (during her courtship with Edward VIII) and Diana, the Princess of Wales. Ed Murrow broadcasted his World War II reports from the hotel ion spite of the ghostly presence the German aristocrat!
